About The Author: Janine (Green) Bryant
Writing children’s stories allows me to indulge in two of my loves - children and writing.
My interest in and love of children has been with me for as long as I can remember and
led me to a degree in Elementary Education at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
I have worked with children, ranging in ages from two to fourteen, since 1992.
Currently, I am an elementary school teacher in Charlotte, N.C..
As a rather lanky child growing up, I was often given the name "Green Bean". This name somehow stuck
and has followed me throughout my teenage years and even now into my adulthood. Consequently, it was with
much amusement I found myself ten years ago writing a story involving these frequently and unjustly
maligned vegetables. Just for the record, I love green beans and hope everyone gives these delectable,
green, tubular vitamin sticks a chance.
When not teaching or writing, I enjoy reading, playing piano and spending time with my family.
